Quote of the Day: 04.18.2017
What's best about it is seeing that he didn't make it over night. He didn't go to sleep one night in Asbury Park, NJ, and wake up on the cover of every single magazine in the country. He worked his ass off and made the music he believed in, even though the rest of the world wasn't listening. He played for hours in little clubs on the boardwalk, just getting better and better. He had a dream and he was sure as hell going to fight to make it real.
I'm not sure what part of the book this quote is from. Maybe around Born in the U.S.A.? Did you know he didn't get any major real radio play until Hungry Heart?! He released Darkness on the Edge of Town, Born to Run, AND Greetings from Asbury Park, but he wasn't "famous" until Hungry Heart. That probably means nothing to a lot of you.
I've got an interview for a really cool job today and I'm hoping this is gonna be a good one.
