Quote of the Day: 07.02.17
Hello. This quote of the day is brought you by responsible life choices. (My mother said I shouldn't talk about alcohol as much on my blog anymore because future employers might not like that. Fine. That's fair, but it's also Canada Day weekend and as the Canadian that I am, it would be unpatriotic of me not to celebrate.) Anyway, (somebody should make a game out of the amount of times I've smoothly transitioned with 'anyway' on this blog) today's quote comes from The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp. It's a young adult novel about this big party, Mr. Popular guy befriends this very smart, not popular girl. Tale as old as time. There's also a movie with Miles Teller, Shailene Woodley, Brie Larson, and honestly, the criminally underrated Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Listen, I cannot believe that Jennifer Lawrence has an Oscar for just screaming at Bradley Cooper, but my girl, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the star of the classic film, Sky High, is not even a household name. (She's done a lot more/better movies than Sky High, but that movie is a treasure.) I've also got a lot of feelings about both the book and the movie, but I'm feeling less than motivated because I am typing this from the break room at work. Maybe I'll make a longer post about it, maybe I won't. Only time will tell.
